What are we looking for?
Latin Filmmakers, Latin Actors, Latin Artists, Latin Music, Latin Dancers, Latin Dance Styles and Latin Story Telling.
You only need have one of those options to qualify.
For example: You have a diverse cast but you are a Latin Producer.
Do you have to be Latino/Latinx to Submit?
No. You can have any one of the options in the previous answer to qualify.
Dance Video Qualifications
If you were not selected to be in a XmLProductions_Presents dance video, you must have a video presentation with plot. This is a Creative Dance Video Section. We are looking for dance content that are more like short films. Think Thriller but don't be afraid to take your chances. We may like your choreography and ask you to participate in one of our shoots.
Acting isn't necessary by the dancers. You can ask other actors or friends.
We do prefer small casts as they will receive a portion of your pay. There does not have to be speaking roles. There just has to be a theme.
We don't want you just dancing in front of a car or a building beginning to end.
Payments
BA.BL. is paying you as a distributor and we are licensing your content once the music is approved and permitted. You will receive a small percentage of the profits from the views. You must receive 10,000 views to get paid.
It is similar to YouTube.
It is not an overnight process.
It can take up to 8 weeks for your video to get approved and then some time before you get the views.
Why are we doing this?
The goal here is that we get Brown Artists, Spanish Speakers, Latin Art Lovers to create and help each other gain success and recognition.
What's in it for you?
The Benefits of having your content streaming on BA.BL. aside from some extra cash is that you will have more places to send your following, friends and family. Gaining recognition as a dancer or a Latino to be seen on a WorldWide Platform is very difficult. We have made a lot of strides in the Entertainment Industry. Dance is still laughed at when considered a Sport. Though, Latin music is heard and loved by many, the artist and dancers have a hard time becoming mainstream. Why do you want to be mainstream if the major labels take all of your money or the schedules for dancers is so far and few in between, why should we try harder to pursue it? Well, not only are we creating more opportunities for Dancers to come off the low level tier of Entertainers in the payroll but we are also creating ways for Independent Artists and Filmmakers to sustain and be greater on their own. When you are no longer depending on grants and mom's bank account and people are recognizing you at the store, that's when you've made it. The more we can do help creatives like you on the map, the more it makes our own dreams come true.
Music Video Qualifications
No nudity, No Racist themes, visuals or lyrics, No lyrics or visuals that exploit children or contribute to the exploitation or abuse of children, No abuse towards animals. If it is shown and not real, you will need a disclaimer. No Anti-Gay Lyrics or visuals contributing to hate crime. Again, if it is for storytelling and in some way against hate crimes towards LGBTQ+ you will still need a disclaimer. No lyrics or visuals of hatred or hate crimes toward any one or multiple religions. As far as the protection of women in music video streams, submit and take your chances. As long as it isn't completely exploitive and unnecessary or overly vulgar you might have a chance. Remember, this is an app created by a Latina for the Latinx community. Try to put your people and your culture first. Think about the message you are sending to your own community and to a large number of people who view this app in appreciation of our people and our culture. Explicates are fine in moderation, if you have a radio edit, better safe then sorry. As of right now, we don't have too many regulations on Music Videos. I know what you are thinking but those are pretty basic.
Submit Your Show, Film or Documentary for Approval
Please include all Contact Information
Name, Number, Email, Date of Entry, Title, and a full description of the Content.
Please also include any social media or photos/posters for the Show, Film or Filmmakers.
Submit Your Music and Dance Videos
for Approval
Please include Name of Music Artist, Name of Dancers, Title of the Song, Names of anyone or company that you want credited in the description such as Record Company or Director/Editor/Producer etc.,
Number, Email, and Date of Entry.
A full description of the video is optional.
Please Let us know if you are choosing to opt in or out of our video descriptions.
Please also include any social media links, photos or album covers.
If you are a Musician signed to a label and you want to submit your music video and add your song to our list of Songs Approved by Artist, please include the proper distribution and licensing contacts.
